Rope access workers are required to have high awareness and require good job pre-planning. Working in demanding heights and positions creates certain demands for the work equipment used. Tasks that involve grinding or cutting give rope access workers a higher work risk. Conventional grinding and cutting tools have high rotational speeds and they generate sharp fragments when grinding or cutting steel.
The feedback we have received from rope access workers who have used both our grinding and cutting tools has been very positive. Our grinding and cutting tools have a rotational speed of between 1000 and 3000 rpm and do not generate hot sparks. The tools are certified by the DNV↵ for use in ATEX gas zones 1 and 2. With the usage of Safety Tools Allmet tools, rope access workers receive quality tools that generate low noise levels, low vibration, no sparks, and no sharp fragments. All in all, it is a very handy tool for use in heights.
